Police and Soldiers Team Up To Clean And Desilt Chocked Gutters In Accra

Accra the busiest city in ghana is heavily packed with filth. Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the government has taken various measures to curb the wides speared the virus. A mandatory lockdown has been imposed on the city of Accra and Kumasi. The lockdown has caused unease among residents of these areas with various alarming videos of abuse popping up on social media.

To halt this social tension the Zoomlion which is Ghana’s domestic waste collector has teamed up with the Ghana police service to carry out a thorough cleaning up exercise in Accra.

In a post sighted by IvyBuzz.com the ghana police service posted on their official Facebook page picture of the cleanup exercise carried out in Accra. From the photos, one can see that the gutters are being de-silted and the streets swept. Checkout the picture below.

We are all glad that the ministry is taking good steps to help maintain peace and sanitation in the county. Even though the Ghana police have received various critics from residents we believe this is a step in the right direction to restore the city of Accra to its old glory.
